Techland released a rather special Dying Light update this year for April Fools. For one day only, the #BadBatch update would unlock superhuman strength for players of the game, allowing them to kick and punch zombies across massive distances. And it was utterly hilarious.
To “kick” things off, I inadvertently created a new potential game mode for Dying Light which I have dubbed ‘Zombie Football’. The aim is simple; kick as many zombies as possible through the “goal” – in this case the open door of a train carriage. As you can probably tell from the video, I never was very good at sports.
Having only just started the game prior to the update, I was yet to have unlocked many of the awesome abilities available as you progress through the game. As you can tell from the video below, I was absolutely delighted when I finally levelled up enough to unlock the incredible dropkick ability.
Surviving in a post-apocalyptic zombie wasteland can sometimes take its toll on the soul (and your mental state). I decided to take a brief break from hoofing the undead across the city to have a chat with one of the locals who had gotten themselves into a rather spiky predicament.
Rounding up the stream, I came across the very group of ne’er-do-wells who had been pushing out the fake Antizin that was causing these superhuman powers. After spectacularly failing a Batman-esque infiltration, I was shocked to discover that the leader of this group was none other than iconic drug lord Walter White.

Overall, the update is absolutely superb and something that I really hope Techland choose to leave in in some form for players to go back and enjoy at a later point in the game.
